Hypno Drugplay for beginners

The intended level of knowledge for this class is beginner. But you should already have enough knowledge to do simple hypnosis yourself. I will neither teach the basics of hypnosis nor will I talk about consent (even when it is important, this is not the class for it).

About the Presenter

Name: Chris Nick: Mentor Chris Titles: Hypno Toy Cult Member, Hypnodom, Sexworker

I have been into hypnosis since ~April 2023. What started with an innocent request from my then partner evolved quickly to a addiction. Several hours of video courses, different in person classes, 2 certificates as a hypnosis coach, and, since April 2025 a hypnosis sex worker, I am still diggin deeper into hypnosis. If you think you have a book, a video, some other resources I need to see, I am very happy if you point them out to me.

I started hypnodrugs out of fun, and it developed into a fun little „side project.“ Leading to this little workshop here where I aim to inspire you to join me. Become a „Hypno Toy Cult Member“ or a hypnodrug addict. You will see, there is fun to find.

What is „Hypnotic Drug Play“?

The term sounds strange at first-hypnosis and drugs? Sounds like a dangerous combination, right? But in this case, we are completely on the safe side. For me, hypnotic drug play means we use hypnosis-combined with props-to create the feeling of having taken a drug.

They can have a wide range, some examples below, but definitely not a complete list:

  • A physical sensation
  • Heaviness, heat, tingling
  • Freeze states
  • Lust or ecstasy
  • Drug trips like on LSD, ecstasy, and so on
  • a simply a deep dive into trance
  • … and so much more

Hypnodrugs – Concept & Basics

Introduction: „Why can hypnosis feel like a drug?“

Perhaps you have experienced this yourself – or observed it in your subjects: those moments when hypnosis is more than just „close your eyes, relax.“ When the body suddenly becomes warm… When space and time lose their meaning because you are simply somewhere else entirely… When everything becomes more intense—pleasure, sound, touch… These are moments when hypnosis can feel like a drug high. And that is exactly what we are using.

Why hypno-drugs „work“

The human mind loves rituals and symbols. And it loves to believe things that are happening right now. It doesn’t matter whether that’s really reality. Anyone who has ever heard different witness accounts of an accident knows that the same event can be perceived very differently by different people. This also means that reality is what we make of it, and with hypnosis we can work on the source code of reality. At least to a certain extent.

If you say to someone, „This will feel like ecstasy,“ mostly not much will happen at first.

But if you:

  • Show them a small tablet,
  • Hand it to them slowly,
  • whisper: „And soon, when you swallow it… it will take effect, will make you see colors as never before.“
  • Let them swallow it and continue with
  • „and just in a moment, you see how the colors get more vibrant, the sounds more clear, your feelings more sensitive…“

So why does something change?

  • Because we build expectations.
  • Because the body responds to suggestions.
  • Because our brain sometimes cannot distinguish between real and imagined sensations.
  • Even imagining muscle training can increase strength
  • Neuropsychologically, hypnosis activates networks similar to those activated by real drugs
    • Processing in the thalamus is altered
    • The default mode network (DMN) is downregulated
    • Attention is focused
    • Stimuli become more intense or are filtered

This means when you give the impulse in a trance that something acts „like a drug,“ it produces real physical reactions. Tingling, pressure, heat, muscle relaxation… anything is possible. Thalamus and DMN briefly explained for context

The thalamus – the gateway to perception

The thalamus is a central switching station in the brain. It is located quite deep in the middle of the brain—like a junction.

Its task:

  • It filters and processes sensory impressions (sight, hearing, touch, etc.).
  • It decides which stimuli reach consciousness—and which do not.
    • Have you felt your feet on the ground or paid attention to how you are breathing right now? Now you have, because I have made your thalamus „aware“ of it.
  • It forwards selected information to conscious perception, which is why it is often referred to as the „gatekeeper of consciousness.“

What happens to the thalamus during hypnosis?

During hypnosis, activity in the thalamus changes:

  • Stimulus processing is modulated – certain stimuli (e.g., external noises, pain) are downregulated or blocked out
  • Other stimuli (e.g., internal images, suggestions) are given more weight
  • The person becomes selectively receptive-e.g., to your voice, your props, and so on

This is functionally comparable to certain drugs that also affect the thalamus

  • They change what seems important
  • …and what is forgotten or ignored

Default Mode Network (DMN) – the network for sense of self & self-reflection

🔍 What is the DMN?

The Default Mode Network is a network of brain regions that is active when:

  • We are not doing anything specific (e.g., daydreaming)
  • We think about ourselves
  • We reflect on our identity, past, or future

It creates, so to speak, the felt sense of self-the „I am me, I have a body, I exist.“

What happens to the DMN during hypnosis?

During deep hypnosis, the default mode network is deactivated or significantly reduced.

This leads to:

  • Dissociation: You feel separated from your body
  • Loss of time: Minutes feel like hours or vice versa
  • Feeling of loss of control: Because the „I am in control“ feeling is weakened
  • Increased suggestibility: Because the critical self („Do I really want this?“) becomes quieter

Parallel to drugs

Many psychoactive substances also suppress the DMN, triggering states such as „I am everything,“ „I am incorporeal,“ or „I am completely in the moment“ in users.

Hypnosis can create similar experiences – without any substances.

The role of props

Part of the trick is to make it visible. Our subconscious loves context. It asks itself, what is happening here? Is this important?

So when you pick up a small bottle of golden glitter water and say, „This substance has a strong euphoric effect… it brings light into your head…“

  • Then the system starts to work.

Even if the mind knows, this is just water. The experience can be real.

That’s why I use:

  • different glitter colors
  • sounds (e.g., the sound of the inhaler or the EpiPen)
  • touch when „administering“

You can also use smells, but I don’t do that because, in my opinion, it has much more „potential for danger.“

Props are anchors. In NLP, an anchor is the trigger for a suggestion to take effect. They make suggestions more credible and add something real to the experience.

The hypnotic mechanics behind it

What we do here is coupling and reinforcement:

  • We couple a visual action (e.g., drops on the tongue)
  • with a suggestion (e.g., „…and you feel it spreading…“)

This creates a trigger: when the subject sees this glittering water again later, the state can return.“ I often set limits on my suggestions, such as „only here, only today, only with me,“ just to be on the safe side. When I play with someone for a long time, it can be different, but for short-term games, these suggestions are important to me.

Conclusion: From theory to playground

Once you understand the principle, hypnotic drug play becomes a playground.

You can work with it like a set of magic potions:

  • One that ignites desire
  • One that triggers willing submission
  • One that dampens everything like morphine
  • …and one that simply makes everything colorful

Tools & Props

Why tools? Why glitter water?

Why do I combine hypnosis with glitter water, inhalers, and other toys? Quite simply, because our imagination loves concrete references. And because our bodies respond to rituals. If suggestion alone works… then suggestion with a prop works like a seductively packaged placebo with whumps. Props are visual, acoustic, or haptic anchors that make a suggestion more credible and immersive. They embody the effect before we even say anything. So let’s take a look at some of my favorite hypno-drug tools to try out, develop further, and play with.

Props in detail

Glitter water (edible glitter + water)

Symbolism: Magic potions, liquid drugs, elixirs, trance enhancers

Suggested use:

  • Use small bottles with screw caps
  • Mix them beforehand with different colors & name them according to their effect (e.g., Bliss, Drop, Fire, Disso)
  • Give the drink a clear ritual: open, lift, swallow, wait…
  • Use color as an anchor: „Red brings lust. Blue brings depth. Purple blurs everything.“

Example wording:

A small sip… and immediately it begins to spread inside you. A wave of heavy, vibrating warmth that takes over your body.

Mobile inhaler

Symbolism: fast effect, sudden flash, drug rush

Application idea:

  • Turn it into an inhalation ritual: „Breathe in deeply… hold… feel.“
  • Consciously use sound (hissing, clicking) as a trigger
  • Suggestions: Kick-start drug, energy flash, hypnotic gas

Example wording:

Whenever I use this inhaler on you, just one drag… and suddenly everything will be electrified. Your muscles start to tingle. Your thoughts flutter. And then-that moment of loss of control.

EpiPen Trainer

Symbolism: Sudden change, coercive effect, medical authority

Suggested use:

  • Simulate injection in an unproblematic area (e.g., thigh, shoulder)
  • Suggest the effect shortly before it happens
  • Can be used very powerfully in DocPlay scenarios or control games

Example wording:

Every time you hear this click and feel the sensation of this pen, your body gets loose and limp, dropping deep into your nicest trance…

Mint tablets

Symbolism: ecstasy, clarity pill, pleasure enhancer, consciousness opener.
Caution: There are a few people who are allergic to this.

Suggested use:

  • Give the tablet with a firm, clear gaze – „This pill makes you receptive…“
  • Combine with suggestions of cold/heat in the body.
  • Also good in combination with suggestions of kissing, breathing, or oral play.

Example wording:

When I give you this pill, when you feel it on your tongue… swallow it… notice how it begins to take effect inside you… And with every tingle, you become more open, more sensitive… …and at the same time less and less in control.

Practical tips for use

  1. One prop = one clear effect
    • Avoid mixing too many meanings. Each „drug“ needs a clear profile.
  2. Ritualize the handover
    • Slowly. Directly.
  3. Enhance physically noticeable effects
    • Warmth, trembling, heaviness, vibration, fixation… Things that can be felt or noticed in some way
  4. Play with time delay
    • „It will take effect in 10 seconds…“
    • „You will first notice it in your legs…“ → Creates tension and control
  5. Make trigger repetition possible
    • „Whenever you see this color…“
    • „The taste reminds you of how…“

Effects & Suggestions

Introduction: „What do you want to feel?“

If hypno-drug play is like a magical pharmacy…

…what effects would you like to experience?

  • More desire?
  • Deep silence in your head?
  • A freeze that makes you motionless?
  • An inner floating sensation?
  • Or perhaps a pill that makes you forget everything?

Now it’s time to get creative. Because what a drug does is ultimately nothing more than a precisely formulated suggestion that targets the body and mind. Today, I’m giving you a collection of hypnodrug effects that you can use, modify, and develop further.

Suggestive examples per color & effect

ColorNameIdeaSuggestion example…

And whenever you get additionally cuddled from a person, this will feel several times more comfy than ever before…“

EpiPen Trainer (without needle)

The „EpiPen“ has a strong visual impact: fast, direct, invasive-ideal for sudden, profound effects. It is an excellent symbol for a „hypno-inject,“ i.e., the targeted injection of states, triggers, or pleasure.

IdeaShort description
Deep Trance InjectionThe moment the pen touches the skin, the person instantly falls deeper into a trance, as if switched off.
Lust Virus ActivationThe body becomes „infected“ with lust-it spreads and becomes increasingly difficult to control.
Slave Mode StartThe pen is the switch-from an independent thinker to a functional, submissive object.

Mint tablets

The tablets are ideal as triggers due to their taste (cool, intense, surprising) and the act of sucking and letting them melt. They can also be used to „induce an inner state,“ similar to pills or drugs.

IdeaShort description
Frozen MouthThe mouth becomes cold and numb, words become difficult or impossible to form.
slowing down of thoughtsThe tablet acts like mental coldness – slowing down, cooling, and paralyzing rational thoughts.
Party drugA mental drug, giving you a trip that triples your sensations, your color vision, and your hearing

Inhaler / Nasal inhaler

Strongly associated with breathing, reflexes, addiction, or medical use. It also has a very immediate and invasive effect, making it particularly suitable for triggers, loss of control, or kick-off moments.

IdeaShort description
Kick-in TranceOne breath – and everything changes. Like a start button to a completely different state.
Horny FogThe world becomes soft, blurred – and all thoughts revolve solely around pleasure.
Knockout DrugOne breath lets your muscles go limp, your brain clears, just a toy, waiting to be used. Every next breath of it will send you even deeper into this state.

Here I also like the effect of „Does that smell like chloroform to you?“

Creating effective hypno-drug suggestions

An effective hypno-drug effect consists of three components:

ComponentExample
Introduction / Stimulus„You drink…“, „You breathe in…“, „The tablet touches your tongue…“
Spread / Transition„It begins to spread… first in your chest, then in your arms…“
State / Effect„…and you become heavy… calm… as if numb…“

Suggestion techniques in use

Here are specific hypnotic techniques that you can combine with the „drugs“:

1. Body anchoring

Link the effect to a specific part of the body:

  • „You feel it first in your chest…“
  • „A tingling sensation in your back that spreads…“

→ Increases credibility through somatization

2. Delayed effect

Create suspense through waiting time:

  • „The effect only kicks in after 10 seconds… 9… 8…“
  • „You hardly notice it… until suddenly… bang… there it is.“

→ Use anticipation & the countdown effect

3. Reinforcement through repetition

Repeat effects, intensify them:

  • „Deeper with every breath… more intense with every sip…“
  • „Each color takes you twice as deep as the previous one.“

→ Typical trance reinforcement principle, works great with hypnodrugs.

4. Conditioning & trigger anchors

Use colors, words, or sounds as triggers:

  • „Whenever you see this blue…“
  • „The sound of the inhaler immediately puts you in the rush…“

→ Enables playful reuse, e.g., across multiple sessions.

Safety & Communication

I would like to assume that consent, safewords, debriefing, and aftercare are used here. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Hopefully, everyone should know how this works and how it is used.
